The SSC is the only government organization that conducts examinations for all kinds of jobs in the country. The examination has been divided into two parts: one for general class and another for reserved vacancy positions. Every year, thousands of candidates appear for this test which is conducted on a single day (usually around February or March).
Quantitative Aptitude Syllabus
Quantitative Aptitude is a part of the SSC Exam. The subject tests your ability to solve problems using numbers and data.
The syllabus consists of 3 hours each day and includes topics such as:
Number System (1-10)
Data Interpretation (Data Sufficiency, Ratio & Proportion, Simple Interest etc.)
It also includes number series like Fibonacci sequence, Binomial theorem etc., which are used in different areas of life like finance or engineering
Important Topics in Quantitative Aptitude
The topics in this section are
Arithmetic: Area, time and distance, number system, decimals and fractions.
Algebra: Linear equations, quadratic equations and inequalities.
Geometry: Triangle adding/subtracting angles/lateral lines/solid figures etc..
Mensuration: Area of a triangle or circle or any polygon or parallelogram or trapezium (with equal sides). In case of congruent triangles their areas can be calculated by using formula for area A = ½(B+C)²
