Class XII
Class XII is the final year of school education in India. The curriculum for Class XII is prescribed by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) in India and follows a pattern similar to other countries such as England, Australia and New Zealand.
It is divided into two parts: Mathematics and Science; each with two papers that are compulsory to attempt at least one from each section.

Joint Entrance Examination-Advanced (JEE-Advanced)
Joint Entrance Examination-Advanced (JEE-Advanced) is a national level engineering entrance examination in India. It is conducted jointly by the IITs and other participating institutes. JEE Advanced was introduced in 2004 as an alternative to IIT-JEE, which was considered too competitive for students who had not done well in their Class XII board exams.
With the aim of providing admission to top engineering colleges across various disciplines including Computer Science, Electrical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering through this exam, it has become one of India's most competitive examinations with lakhs taking it every year and only around 20,000 candidates being able to crack it each year.
Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE)
GATE is an all-India common admission test for postgraduate studies in Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs) and National Institutes of Technology (NITs). It was established by the cooperative action of these three organizations, along with other institutions and organizations like All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), University Grants Commission (UGC), etc.
It mainly consists of two papers: Paper I - Engineering Mathematics & Mechanics; Paper II - Physics & Chemistry which are held simultaneously across India on different dates during February/March every year.
